Queen of Heaven - Huang Zou's Portfolio
Introduction
Queen of Heaven is a 5-person group project, including me, finished in 2 weeks. This is a combination of card game and tower defense game. There are four different types of cards: bronze, silver, gold, and diamond. Bronze card is an unconsumable card which is used to spawn your ally troop on a selected lane. Other cards can be drawn by clicking the full charged pole. The probability decreases from silver to diamond.
Contribution
I was programmer in this group. My contribution includes:
- Design basic game mechanics
- Implement basic game framework (timer, states switching, lanes position)
- Implement dragging, placing, lane selection, minimization system for cards
- Implement all animations for Israelite infantry
- Implement HP text for all units
- Implement all functionalities and animations for pole
- Implement healing, damage, and fortification card ability
- Implement cooldown to the permanent card
- Implement flashing effect on units to indicate who are going to affected by cards
- Implement all visual effects of card abilities
- Playtest and balance numbers for game
- Countless bugs fixing
- Implement sound effects
